Yoga Therapy Classes

Zapped to Zen

Ever feel like you’ve got zero left to give, yet you muscle on because there’s important things to be done in this world (and you’re THE ONE to make things happen!)? Ever feel like self-care is just one more should on a very full plate?

You don’t need to add one more thing, you need to learn how to create intentional space to BE between all your DOs. You need to listen deeply to what your body and Spirit(ed) self yearn for. You need 8 weeks dedicated to forming new, life-changing habits. You need to go from Zapped to Zen! Your life will never be the same. I promise–mine isn’t!

Practices build resiliency to stress and change

Mindfulness practices are research-based practices found to:

Address the symptoms of PTSD and trauma-related symptoms
(50% of PTSD sufferers also suffer chronic pain), reduce the experience of pain, stop stress headaches, IBS, and other patterned body stress responses, and reduce anxiety and improve sleep patterns

Embodied mindfulness, the practice of experiencing mindfulness through body awareness, is demonstrated to accelerate change due to engagement of body memory in the process and unique ability to tap into the fight or flight response of the animal brain

Phoenix Rising Groups are used as/with: childbirth trauma, standard protocol in oncology units, weight loss and dietary change programs & eating disorders, trauma recovery, corporate executives and peak performance

The 8-week format creates a foundation for permanent lifestyle change through formation of new and mindful habits

Fertility Yoga

Yoga for Fertility helps prepare your body for a successful conception and pregnancy. This class is designed to support women who are trying to conceive, either naturally or through assisted reproductive technology. Yoga for Fertility uses specific yoga postures and practices to stimulate and tone the reproductive system, enhance the flow of energy and circulation through the body, and balance hormone levels.

Iron-Man Meditation

A two-hour sit for the brave, the bold, and the spiritually curious. Don’t let the tongue-in-cheek title fool you, we are ready to get serious with our meditation! Practicing meditation for longer periods allows the deeper revealing of continuous ego rebellion and the potential to reach new levels. Practicing in community melds hearts and facilitates the ability to stay present to the practice.

When do we get enough time for anything more than 5-30 minutes of meditation? When do we truly get the chance to go… deep, deep, deep?

Are you bold enough to try?

Inspired by a recent novel describing a gentleman being introduced to meditation via a two-hour practice with a holy man, we’ve decided to try, and we’d like to invite you to join us! We don’t have the holy man, but we do have a great community and an adventurous spirit! Please know that you do not have to sit for all 2 hours (people will be encouraged to get up and walk, wiggle, and stay comfortable—2 hours is a long time for a Western body, after all), so do not allow that concern to deter your ability to shout, “Yes!”

Afterwards, we will have a guided discussion of experiences and insights.  Looking forward to seeing you on the cushion!

IET : Intermediate Training

Our intermediate training is a one day class that provides you with an:

  • Attunement to Intermediate IET energy rays that will activate the 3rd and 4th DNA pairs and will  empower you to pull energy imprints out of the human energy field

  • Learn to clear energy imprints resulting  from past life karma

  • Methods to “esoterically dowse”  and interpret the blockages in the  human energy field

IET : Basic Training

Our basic training class is a one day class that provides you with an:

  • Attunement to the Basic IET energy ray that will activate the 1stand 2nd DNA pairs and will empower you to energize and integrate cellular memory blocks

  • Location and use of  the IET energy integration power points

  • Introduction to Energy Anatomy and the Cellular Memory Map

  • Increase in your ability to be an energy intuitive and “read” energy

IET : A Day with the Angels

This class is based on a powerful four step process that enables you to energetically connect with the Healing Angels and develop your personal relationship with each of them.  You will learn the special healing gift that each angel brings and a special prayer of invitation to call upon the angel.  Everyone from angel novice to expert can benefit from this class.

Learn how you can use natural Bodymind mechanisms to rewrite stress and shift emotional states.  Educational and experiential explorations with Renee Groenemann, licensed counselor, yoga therapist & mindfulness coach.

Weight Management, Stress Management and Smoking Cessation

Come and learn Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and experience Hypnosis to promote your health. Class options include:

  • Weight Management

  • Stress Management

  • Smoking Cessation

The first 15 minutes of each class will consist of learning about Hypnosis; what it is and why it will work for you. We will then apply EFT to the problems at hand. You can later use EFT any time, any place, for anything.

Class will end with a hypnosis session targeted on the topic, so that you may make lasting changes that promote your health.

The Enneagram : 5 Classes that Could Change Your Life!

In this class series, we will examine all types in the Enneagram. We will look at how the types interact with each other and with the rest of the world.

The Enneagram is a personality typing system that combines ancient wisdom and modern psychology to help you understand who you really are and why you do the things you do. Knowing your type will provide tools to move in new directions and free you from old habits that have limited you. Understanding other people’s types will give you insight into your relationships—the people you love and the people you struggle to both understand and appreciate.

As part of the learning experience, you will receive an individual session to determine your type. Typing takes about 30-45 minutes.  In addition to learning about yourself, typing prepares you for experiencing the types of other people in this class series.

You will learn:

  • Personality traits of the 9 types

  • “Strengths” and “challenges” of each type

  • How “wings”, “instincts” and “tri-type” influence your type

  • How types interact; what you can we do with difficult interactions

The Enneagram : Introduction

The Enneagram is a powerful tool for understanding yourself and others by discovering your personality type. Let go of old habits, discover new insights and feel good about who you really are.

This 3 hour class will introduce some basic concepts about the Enneagram – a personality typing system that uses both ancient wisdom and modern psychology. It is an amazing tool for change, for understanding yourself and for understanding other people.

The Enneagram can provide insight into your behaviors, your challenges and your true strengths. It can provide insights into your relationships – both personal and business. It can help us see the way to move in new directions – embrace new ideas – be free from old habits – have more confidence and courage.

What you will learn:

  • Basic characteristics of all the types

  • The strengths and challenges for each type

  • How to apply these ideas in your daily life

  • How it can benefit you to work with your type

  • How it can help in resolving relationship conflicts

Energy Share

A monthly group that is open to all energy practitioners, including but not limited to:  Reiki, IET and Healing Touch.

All energy workers are invited to give/receive energy and support with each other.  Each share starts with a meditation.

This energy share is facilitated by Brecka Burton, who is a Reiki Master / Teacher and certified Master Teacher in Integrated 

Energy Therapy® (IET). Brecka holds healing classes and retreats throughout the year for children and adults, both in a group setting and by private appointment at The Healing Space of Cincinnati.
